Lip Neutralisation

What is Lip Neutralisation?

Treatment Overview

Lip Neutralisation

A specialist lip treatment to balance darker, cooler, or uneven tones before colour correction.

Lip Neutralisation is a specialised form of lip tattooing designed to correct dark, cool, or uneven lip tones. It uses warm-toned pigments such as orange, peach, or coral to neutralize unwanted blue, purple, or brown undertones. The goal is to even out the lip colour and gradually create a brighter, more balanced finish.

Could Lip Neutralisation Be Right For You?

Lip Neutralisation is designed for lips where the natural colour appears darker, cooler or uneven in tone. If your lips have blue, purple, brown or grey undertones, traditional lip colour may not always give you the result you're looking for.

You may benefit from Lip Neutralisation if you:

  • Have naturally darker or uneven lip pigmentation
  • Notice cool blue, purple or brown undertones in your lips
  • Feel your lip colour looks uneven or lacks brightness
  • Have areas of the lips that appear darker than others
  • Want to create a more balanced, even-looking base colour

Understanding Your Lip Neutralisation

Understanding Your Lip Neutralisation

Four Levels of Pigmentation

We assess your lips across four levels of pigmentation, with each level requiring a slightly different approach to achieve the best possible result.

Level 1 — Mild pigmentation

Lips with a lighter, warmer brown tone. These can often be treated with a straightforward neutralisation approach.

Level 2 — Moderate pigmentation

More noticeable brown pigmentation that requires a more targeted colour-correction approach.

Level 3 — Higher pigmentation

Lips with stronger pigmentation or cooler undertones, such as purple, grey or deeper tones, may require a more gradual correction.

Level 4 — Advanced pigmentation

The deepest levels of pigmentation, including pronounced brown, purple, grey or blue undertones, require a carefully tailored approach and may take longer to neutralise.

Will I need one or two sessions?

This depends on your individual pigmentation level and how your lips respond to treatment.

For some clients, the desired level of neutralisation can be achieved in one session. For others, particularly where there is a higher level of pigmentation, two sessions may be recommended to gradually correct the underlying tone and achieve a more balanced result. If required, this will be discussed during your consultation and patch test, and we will advise you on the most appropriate treatment plan before your appointment.

If two sessions are recommended, the total cost for the treatment will be £210.
